You have always heard the statement “Never say Never”, well I can tell you this is a very true statement! After I took on the “Boonsboro House” Renovation last year and sold it this year, I had told myself never again, because it was so much harder than you can imagine! I loved parts of the process like picking out paint colors, turning the living room into a huge eat-in-kitchen, adding a master bathroom ,and adding a mudroom/laundry room where the old kitchen was! Designing is more of my thing than dealing with contractors who stole from me, wouldn’t show up to the job or wanted payment before even showing their work. Let’s just say I learned a ton and that is a blessing. We are also blessed to have new friends who purchased the home! We adore them so much and can’t wait to make tons of memories together! However, I did tell myself never again!

Funny story, I had a lady out-of-the blue contact me on LinkedIn, and she asked me who she should use to sell her house in Lynchburg, VA.  I immediately wrote her back and referred my very favorite broker/relator Betsy Ferguson, Owner of Lynchburg’s Finest.  I then contacted Betsy to tell her she had a great lead coming her way! She and I then looked up the house that would be going on the market and we both were immediately interested in buying the home ourselves! I contacted the lady back and asked if she had a price she was looking to sell her home in Lynchburg for and asked if I could see the inside of the house that day! So she let us go into the house and look around that day, because I was leaving for a trip to Oregon and had only one day before my trip! We decided it would be the perfect rental property and so right there and then we gave an offer and are closing on our very first rental property in Lynchburg, VA!!

I also think it will be so much fun going into business with such a special friend and brilliant woman, Betsy Ferguson and her husband Matt Ferguson!
