Living in Layers

I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for Spring and for warmer weather. It can start to be tough dressing for this transitional time between the seasons, where one day it may seem like spring as sprung, and the next day it’s calling for snow.  I have found that layers are always a must have in my closet for exactly this reason.  #livinginlayers

IMG_E3079The outfit I wore to church Sunday was warm enough to start the morning off when the colder temperatures were still holding on, and also worked for later on in the day when the weather decided to heat up a little. I felt stylish, comfortable, and could also use these pieces with other items to make more outfits for the week if I wanted.

IMG_E3082Always have a black pencil skirt in your closet, mine was from Gap last year and has a back silver zipper. This leather sleeve and quilted zip up jacket with silver accents can be worn with jeans or black pants, but I paired it with my pencil skirt and even the silver zippers matched. I wore a tight black tank top underneath so I could unzip it slightly. I would say to continue to wear closed toed shoes until the weather gets consistently warmer. I love these ankle strap, back zipper heels, because they go with anything.

The outfit I wore today knowing I would be going from daytime into night and the temperatures would drop quickly at my son’s baseball game tonight. I could have used about five more of my sweater capes for sure but good thing I at least had one on! We froze to death, but it was worth it to watch the boys win their first season game tonight for Liberty Christian Academy! #Livinginlayers
