Fall is my favorite time of year with the weather starting to cool off, the leaves are changing and so is your wardrobe. Not only does your wardrobe need to change for fall, but so does your environment.
I believe that all of these trends will help you transform for fall. I got inspired one day while driving down a country road to have the photoshoot in a cornfield, so that was just what we did! I know you won’t believe me when I tell you I grew up on a FARM but I even baled hay. The colors this fall remind me of all the textures of a cornfield, the harvested fields, old barns and the depths of the endless fields. Don’t forget about how important it is for your home to freshen up every season as well! Now, time to dive into the top 5 trends this season…
It starts with the colors
The colors of fall are all about earth tones with a pop of Teal, Olive Green, Taupe, Dark Mustard, Plums and Blush Pink so I got my inspiration from cornfields and succulent gardens.
Fall 2017 Trend Report:
It’s all about the Sleeves:
Balloon Sleeves and anything Ruffled are going to be the look this season, the bigger the sleeves the better. Even a contrast will be where its at. Camo cold shoulder shirts will be in style.
Modern Folk Art Embroidery:
Creative geometrics, modern folk patterns, thread variations, handcrafted embroidery, modern samples, bright accents, thread designs. Head to your fall festivals and be inspired by the local folk artists for this falls fashion tips. I love Anthropologie because they have always used modern folk art to inspire their designs.
Head over Heels for Bohemian Style:
Check out this amazing boho style dress and lace sleeves to add to already amazing design. Of course mixing a pair of Vintage Lace up Moccasin style boots only found here.
Camo & Plaid are always in style:
Camo is fun and will be hot this season. I love to layer using camo as the focus. I styled this edgy camo shirt with an Olive Green Military Jacket, Grey Leggings and a fun pair of Perforated olive ankle strap peep toed heels.
Mad for Plaid is how I feel about this outfit. Style a Mod Vintage Midi Plaid dress with J.Crew Ankle strap heels, a J.Crew navy oversized scarf, the best Madewell lumber jacket button down shirt and add a Vintage Purse to finish the look. You can never go wrong mixing old Vintage with the seasons best styles.
Accessorize with Vintage:
This is FUR real. Most would use this fur scarf around their neck but I am styling it as a belt to make this midi dress have some definition. You can also wear it as a scarf and this fur is VINTAGE and REAL!
